Lent Day 30: The Lord, My Shepherd

                            Psalm 23 Prayer

My Father, as a sheep belongs to a shepherd, so do I belong to you, bought with the Blood of Jesus and marked with the seal of the Holy Spirit. You are everything to me, Creator, Preserver, Protector and Provider. In seeking the glory of your Kingdom and righteousness first, I am raised above the fear of want; I know the rest of my portion shall be added unto me.

Thank you for giving me confidence and rest in the rich pastures of your Word. Thank you for the peaceful graces of your Holy Spirit that lead me in life. Thank you for always pardoning me and restoring me to your fold when I fall away. Thank you for glorifying your name after you bring me back by ensuring that you lead me in your paths of righteousness.

Because I dwell in your shadow Almighty God, I do not walk through any valley of dark uncertainty alone. I am securely tucked under your wings and cannot fear the enemy. As a loving father, you have kept me close by chastising me with your rod so that I do not lose my way. As the daughter of a gracious King, your staff and authority has shielded and comforted me.

You manifest your sovereignty over the world when you bless me abundantly as my enemies look on helplessly. Your Spirit anoints me daily with the oil of gladness until I overflow with joy and generosity into the lives of others.

Life will always have good and bad days, but your righteousness and your mercy are unchanging; they give me confidence every day of my life. As I have chosen to dwell in your shadow on this earth, so will you continue my habitation in your Kingdom forever.
