Lent 2021: Day 16 – Psalm 103 Scripture Prayer (Re-post)

My Father, I come in the name of Your Son Jesus, to bless You Lord, and I submit my spirit, soul, body and will to join all the elect in praising Your holy name. I bless You Lord, in profound gratitude for all my benefits, for forgiving all my sins, for healing all my diseases (physical/spiritual/mental).

I bless You Lord for redeeming my life from the pit and crowning me with Your steadfast  love and mercy; for satisfying me with everything that You know is good  for my well-being and the prosperity of my soul, so that my youth is renewed like an eagle’s. Thank you Father.

You who work righteousness and justice for oppressed people, please make Your ways  known to me as You did to Moses, and make Your acts of mercy known to me as You did for the Israelites, so that my decisions  may glorify You as I do Your will and my life may be a testament of Your might and power.

I praise you Lord, because You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. You have not always chided me, nor do You keep your anger when I  offend You. You do not deal with me according to my sins, nor do You repay me according to my iniquities. Thank You for this tender mercy and example of how to forgive others.

Father, to those who are filled with holy fear, You promise an infinite, steadfast love; a removal of transgressions; and fatherly compassion. In Your mercy, please let Your Spirit bless me with this gift of holy fear so that I may partake of  Your generous promises. Let me be a manifestation to my generation of how the fear of the Lord brings about Wisdom.

Lord, you know my frame, dust I come from and to dust, I shall return.  Help me to always keep in mind that  life is fickle, and a man’s days are like grass  which will eventually wither; or like the delicate flowers in the field, flourishing today and gone with the wind tomorrow. May the remembrance of my vulnerability and mortality help me to live life with a perspective focused on You.

I ask You again Lord, put in me the grace to fear You Lord, so that I can experience Your steadfast love which is everlasting to everlasting; and so that my children and their descendants can experience Your righteousness available through their belief in Jesus, Your new covenant.  May Your grace also help them to fear You and remember to do Your commandments, so they can grow in Your love.

My King of kings, Your throne is established in the heavens, and Your kingdom rules over all. I join my praise to the blessings of the mighty angels who obey and perform Your Word; I worship with the hosts of heaven and ministers who do Your will as they bless You. I pray that all Your works and creation wherever they are will bless You. I join my soul to the universal and unending blessing of Your Holiness.

Heavenly Father, kindly accept my worship and praise today  in the name of Your Son, Jesus. Amen.
