Pilgrim Dos
- Do keep in mind where you are coming from, who you belong to and your final destination.
- Do be courteous and kind to all you meet on your journey. If they are not Christians, God is counting on you to introduce Him to them and to preach the gospel by the way you interact with them. (Remember….the sandals of the gospel of peace?). He is expecting you to bring some souls along with you when you arrive at your destination.
- Do love your fellow christian brethren. You are all travelling to the same eternal home.
- Do take care of the environment as you pass through, you are not the last set of pilgrims. Many generations are still coming after you.
- Do give unto Caesar, what is Caesar’s; and unto God, what is God’s.
- You are Christ’s ambassador. Do obey the rules of the land as long as they do not contravene Christ’s rules.
- Do let the culture of your homeland be the primary guide for how you conduct yourself. “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”.
- Do ask the Holy Spirit for help, every time you have a question, feel unsure about something or feel you are getting lost. He is a Teacher and Reminder.
Pilgrim Don’ts:
- Do not be overly attached to any gift you are blessed with on the journey. You cannot enter the destination with any baggage, not even the smallest hand luggage. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and let very other affection or desire stem from that foundation.
- Don’t let the culture of the land change you or influence you adversely, turning you from the right path. You want to get to your destination safely, with minimal bumps on the road.
- Don’t be presumptuous about how long it will take you to reach your destination. That is God’s sole prerogative.
- Don’t forget to communicate with God every day and get your daily directives from Him.
- Don’t let your allegiance to the land you are passing through mean more to you than your allegiance to your homeland/final destination.
- Don’t let the land or anything you possess in it define your identity.
- Don’t forget to express appreciation to those who help you on your journey.

I love this. A comprehensive guide book or manual. Thanks!
