Psalm 54 Prayer
O God, your name is my Strong Tower, defend the honor and attributes of your name as I call on you. Do not let me be trampled upon, show your mighty hand on my behalf. Consider my plea and let the words of my prayers be acceptable to you.
Just as Jesus experienced, people I do not know are secretly plotting against me and seeking to destroy me and all that I stand for. They have no fear of you and hate your children for no cause.
But you Lord are all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful and you have always helped me. You graciously uphold me and mine. If those who hate me will not cease and repent, I trust that you will judge them justly and protect your servant.
I will sing your praises everywhere for fulfilling your promise to deliver me out of all my troubles. I will testify of your faithfulness to those who trust in your holy name as their Strong Tower. With you as my sure defense, I am empowered to stand tall and confident against all my enemies.
